Drone Technology for Better Farming

Starting in 2016, Cropview began exploring how drone technology could be used to improve farming.  Using drones can yield precision farming benefits without needing to buy expensive new equipment.

In following years, we ran successful tests of drone services providing growth maps and plant health monitoring.

We also learned that agriculture in Alberta has unique needs that aren’t well served with current drone technology. That’s why we’re working on new methods of using robots to get better data from crops, allowing better decisions to be made with less work.

Robotic Scouting is our current focus, which is finding ways to get critical information faster and easier than ever before.  It doesn’t replace the services of an Agronomist; it enhances them.
